Anca Verma, fostă Neacșu, trăiește în India, acolo unde s-a căsătorit în 2006 cu un potent om de afaceri local, cei doi având o fată împreună. 

Familia Verma locuiește într-un palat luxos, unde mobilierul este poleit cu aur, și călătorește cu Orient Express. Ei sunt mereu păziți de zeci de bodyguarzi atunci când participă la diverse evenimente și au o viață care pare desprinsă din filmele de la Bollywood. 

Abhishek Verma, soțul româncei, provine dintr-o familie cunoscută în India și a devenit bogat prin intermediul companiei sale de vânzare de armament. Tatăl său, Shrikant Verma, a fost ziarist, până când Indira Ghandi i-a oferit posibilitatea de a deveni parlamentar. Mama lui Abhishek, Veena Verma, a fost și ea parlamentar indian peste 14 ani, amândoi fiind oameni cu o influență greu de egalat.

Anca a absolvit Universitatea din Galați cu o diplomă de master în domeniul ingineriei. După ce s-a retras din activitatea de fotomodel, a lucrat la Atlas Telecom Network Romania, furnizor de servicii de telefonie mobilă, și a fost numit Director General Adjunct pentru operațiunile din București.

La căsătoria ei cu Abhishek Verma, ea a devenit asociatul său în firme care se ocupau cu vânzarea de armament. Verma și soțul ei au fost acuzați de corupție și de spălare de bani și au fost arestați de Biroul Central de Investigații al Indiei, pentru o presupusă mită dată oficialilor indieni din domeniul apărării pentru a-și asigura contracte cu armament de miliarde de dolari. Pe 8 iunie 2012 amândoi au fost închiși în Închisoarea Tihar, Delhi, potrivit ziare.com. 

Tot atunci s-a mai aflat și că familia de afaceriști trimitea adevărate averi în offshore-uri din Lichtenstein, evitand astfel să plăteasca taxe statului indian.În aprilie 2017, Verma a fost achitată de Curtea Specială a Biroului din New Delhi, care a renunțat la toate acuzațiile de corupție și spălare de bani, iar două cazuri împotriva Verma au fost respinse.
