Plaza de Espana din Sevilla a vibrat joi, 16 iunie. A fost prima dată când brandul și-a prezentat o colecție în Spania și, de asemenea, prima pentru o etichetă internațională de lux.

Prezentându-și colecția Cruise 2023 la Sevilla, se înțelege că Maria Grazia Chiuri, director artistic Dior, extinde legătura casei franceze cu cultura spaniolă creată de la primele colecții, în anii 1950, de designerul Christian Dior. Se va aminti că anumite schițe ale ținutelor ei au fost botezate Nopțile Spaniei (1954), Seara la Toledo (1955) sau Balul la Sevilla (1956). De asemenea, John Galliano, director artistic al Dior timp de cincisprezece ani, s-a inspirat îndelung din originile sale spaniole în creațiile sale.

Pentru această a șasea etapă a colecțiilor de croazieră concepute de Maria Grazia Chiuri (călătoria ei a început în 2017, la Los Angeles, apoi s-a oprit la Chantilly, Marrakech, Lecce și Atena), este vorba de consolidarea muncii alături de artizani locali. În acest decor foarte frumos, purtat de un joc de lumini și de acordurile orchestrei Bética de Cámara, cele 110 modele au prezentat portretul femeilor elegante care străbat garderoba istorică a culturii locale.
