Geanta era realizată din sticlă suflată! Nouă interpretare a genții clasice Swipe a fost realizată de Breanna Box și Peter Dupont, care dețin un studio de producție de sticlă, numit Heven, potrivit Vogue.

Breanna și Peter au pornit această afacere cu sticlă suflată la începutul pandemiei. Pentru a ajuta la proiectarea genților pentru spectacol, ei l-au angajat pe unul dintre cei mai de încredere prieteni ai lor: maestrul suflant Josh Raiffe, originar din Copenhaga și a luat lecții de suflat de sticlă în timp ce era la facultate.

Aceste genți uluitoare au văzut lumina zilei în abia o lună. „Ne-am petrecut o zi desenând și făcând brainstorming. După două zile de lucru în studio, prototipurile au fost perfecte”, spune Breanna Box. Coarnele au fost ideea ei și a avut-o cu mult înainte să se vorbească despre o colaborare cu tânăra etichetă apreciată de vedete precum Dua Lipa. „Am proiectat o carafă cu coarne pentru un prieten și m-am gândit că există ceva minunat, designul a fost atât de frumos!” continuă tânăra.

După cum vă puteți imagina, lucrul cu sticla este o artă delicată: mâna nu trebuie să tremure, iar temperatura în cuptor poate ajunge la 1650°C. Dar cei doi designeri spun că sunt mândri de piesele imperfecte. „Nu aruncăm niciodată nimic, mergem cu fluxul. Așa se nasc cele mai interesante piese”, explică Peter Dupont.
