Mugler x H&M: cea mai așteptată colaborare a primăverii

După Giambattista Valli în 2019, ultima casă de modă majoră care a colaborat cu H&M, care a fost nevoită să întrerupă în fiecare an acest eveniment foarte așteptat din cauza crizei de sănătate, gigantul suedez a anunțat numele următorului designer invitat să creeze o colecție care este pe cât de luxoasă, pe atât de accesibilă. Și Mugler, condusă de Casey Cadwallader, a fost aleasă!   

Un anunț interesant, cel puțin, după trei ani fără o colaborare majoră pentru H&M, în ciuda câtorva capsule semnificative, în asociere cu Simone Rocha sau Iris Apfel de exemplu, cea mai recentă.   

Rezultatul acestei colaborări mult așteptate? Salopete din piele care pariază pe jocuri de transparență, creația semnătură a lui Casey Cadwallader, dar și o mulțime de body-uri sexy și, conform campaniei, incluzive, precum și rochii scurte, blugi și câteva piese neon. Colectia prezintă silueta semnatură a casei Mugler, recunoscută printre toți: umeri puternici și lați, o talie marcată, o odă curbelor și liniilor corpului, un tribut adus încrederii în sine.

În omagiu adus viziunii fondatorului Casei, creațiile contemporane sunt însoțite de o selecție de piese de arhivă, în ediție limitată, selectate de Casey Cadwallader pentru rezonanța lor contemporană și mărturia lor cu privire la rolul major al stilului Mugler în anii 80 și 90.

Avangardă și transgresivă, susținând libertatea de exprimare, cu un stil glamour și îndrăzneț incomparabil, această colaborare întruchipează însăși esența lui Mugler. Fondată de designerul francez Manfred Thierry Mugler în 1973, casa a anticipat temele de pozitivism corporal, fluiditate de gen și încredere în sine care inspiră moda astăzi. Designerul american Casey Cadwallader a fost numit director artistic în 2018, dând o nouă viață și reinterpretând moștenirea casei, marcată de spectacole îndrăznețe și haute couture inovatoare, cu o estetică vizionară, îmbrățișând o alternativă, non-binară și tehnologică.

Pentru a întruchipa spiritul colecției și a sărbători relația dintre Mugler și muzică, casa franceză și H&M au dezvăluit un videoclip care prezintă un colectiv de talente emergente - Amaarae, Shygirl, Eartheater și Arca. Împreună au înregistrat propria lor versiune a hitului din 1998 al lui Stardust „Music Sounds Better With You”, pentru a sărbători colaborarea.    

Spre deosebire de colecțiile anterioare în colaborare cu case de lux, colecția Mugler x H&M va fi disponibilă online și în magazine selectate începând cu 11 mai 2023, și nu în noiembrie.
