Colecția Fendi toamnă/iarnă 2023 deconstruiește granițele

A fost doar începutul unei lumi iluzorii la care casa de modă italiană a făcut referire în timpul show-ului Săptămânii Modei de la Milano. Directorul artistic al casei, Kim Jones, este cunoscut pentru amestecarea temelor în multe dintre designurile sale. A fost numit director de creație al casei Fendi în 2020, primul de la moartea lui Karl Lagerfeld. Marcând acest spectacol ca pe un spectacol de urmărit, Jones știe să se joace cu referințele, să provoace normele și să depășească limitele.

Kim Jones se referă la femeia Fendi însăși, inclusiv la Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Tot ceea ce poartă moștenitoarea Fendi este unic pentru ea, prin stilul, ținuta și aspectul ei. Jones explică: „Totul a început cu Delfina. Există o eleganță, dar o perversitate în felul în care îl deturnează pe Fendi, ceea ce îmi place mie”. Colecția prezintă croitorie masculină cu deconstrucții utilitare, dar designerul transformă aceste țesături grele în moduri delicate. Asimetria este, de asemenea, în centrul atenției în acest spectacol iluzoriu; prima privire demonstrează explorarea lui Jones asupra acestui lucru. Un pulover cu nasturi cu decolteu în V asimetric, fără cusături clare, este combinat cu o fustă din piele structurată. Modelul poartă și o cravată bărbătească desfăcută. Juxtapunerea dintre clasicism și autoexprimarea unică exemplifică dorința casei de modă italiene de a deconstrui granițele, de a distruge binarele și de a submina așteptările.
