Balenciaga a trimis pe podium mireasa în armură

Labelul fondat la San Sebastián a propus o armură cromată ca rochie de mireasă la finalul show-ului său haute couture toamnă-iarnă 2023-2024, la Paris, miercuri, 5 iulie.

Mireasa era blindată. Miercuri, 5 iulie la prânz, ora este solemnă la Balenciaga. Brandul fondat în 1937 de Cristobal Balenciaga își prezintă cea mai recentă colecție în saloanele sale istorice în cea mai pură tradiție a haute couture. Cu excepția rochiei de mireasă. Demna și-a păstrat cea mai mare surpriză vestimentară pentru pasajul final, rezervat în mod tradițional ținutei de mireasă.

Directorul artistic a înlocuit, de fapt, rochia albă cu o armură rigidă, argintie. Onoarea de a o îmbrăca i-a revenit Elizei Douglas, artistul și modelul preferat al Demnei. Timp de aproape trei minute, ea se angajează într-o procesiune lentă pe sunetul vocii Mariei Callas, oferind o închidere suprarealistă paradei.

Covor din pâslă, scaune aurite și perdele groase... toate ingredientele haute couture par să se reunească la începutul după-amiezii în saloanele Balenciaga. Parada este deschisă chiar de Danielle Slavik, un fotomodel în vârstă de 79 de ani, care a lucrat cândva cu maestrul.

Intenția directorului artistic Demna este să urmeze codurile haute couture, să le reinventeze mai bine. În special printr-o estetică puternică care se încadrează în direcția anunțată a couturierului, a decis să pună din nou îmbrăcămintea în prim plan după controversele stârnite de două campanii publicitare Balenciaga, iarna trecută. 

Această rochie de mireasă marțială și strălucitoare din rășină cromată o atestă. A necesitat nouă sute de ore de muncă. Inspirată liber din piese istorice și imprimată în 3D în mai multe părți, inclusiv două legate invizibil pentru fustă, piesa este ținută în loc prin șuruburi.
