În spatele acestei noi tendințe se află hairstylistul și prietenul lui Kim Kardashian, Chris Appleton. Pe contul său de Instagram, coloristul și-a dezvăluit secretul pentru a obține un „Mousy hair” aproape perfect. „Am luat vopsit părul lui Kim într-o nuanță ușor mai deschisă pe lungimi, adăugând o bază mai întunecată la rădăcină. Acesta este secretul pentru păstrarea culorii proaspete și strălucitoare”, a scris el. 

În 2021, naturalul este foarte la modă, așa că această tehnică de vopsire a părului este perfectă pentru seară și pentru a-i spori culoarea naturală.
